The Multimedia Content Specialist will lead the day-to-day planning, production and publication of the firm’s creative requests, podcasts, and videos. This role requires an organized, creative and editorially strong professional who can manage multiple recurring series and one-off projects, collaborate effectively with attorneys and business services teams and keep complex production schedules moving.
Under the direction of the Manager of Marketing & Digital Media, the Multimedia Content Specialist will guide projects from concept through final publication, including recording logistics, editorial preparation, vendor coordination, creative asset development, platform publishing and promotional handoffs. The Specialist will also execute design requests as needed, provide execution-level guidance on select creative projects and support the mentorship of junior team members.
Essential Job Requirements:
Multimedia Content and Production Management:
- Manage recurring podcast and video series and one-off multimedia projects from concept through publication.
- Work with attorneys, practice groups and internal stakeholders to develop episode topics, series plans and production briefs.
- Schedule recordings and coordinate participants, vendors, locations, technology, source materials and other production logistics.
- Draft and edit episode titles, descriptions and promotional copy, and review and format transcripts and captions.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for external video and audio vendors, coordinate feedback and manage the delivery of final episodes, clips, soundbites and source files.
- Review final deliverables for editorial, technical, accessibility, and brand quality.
- Publish podcasts to approved syndication platforms and videos to Vimeo and Lowenstein.com, including metadata, captions, thumbnails, links and post-publication checks.
- Coordinate with the Digital team on launch timing, promotional materials and supporting content.
Creative Services:
- Execute one-off design requests and develop supporting graphics and creative assets for multimedia and other marketing initiatives as needed.
- Coordinate thumbnails, promotional graphics, photography and other visual materials for podcast and video projects.
- Provide execution-level creative guidance and quality control to ensure materials follow approved concepts, specifications and brand standards.
- Coordinate specialty creative needs with the Manager of Marketing & Digital Media and escalate matters involving brand strategy, original creative direction or sensitive content.
- Prepare, resize and version approved designs for different channels and formats and deliver production-ready files.
- Document creative production standards, support cross-training and provide coverage for priority design projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, multimedia production or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant multimedia, digital marketing or communications experience; professional services experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting podcast and video projects, production schedules, external vendors and multiple stakeholder approvals.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical subject matter into clear and engaging content.
- Working knowledge of recording and post-production workflows, transcripts, captions, digital accessibility, multimedia file formats and web publishing standards.
- Experience with Vimeo, podcast syndication platforms, content management systems and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva; experience with audio or video editing software is a plus.
- Strong project management, communication and creative judgment, with the ability to manage competing priorities, provide constructive guidance and work effectively with attorneys, leaders, vendors and colleagues.
- Reliability, attendance, and punctuality, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
Office Location: Roseland, NJ or New York, NY (Hybrid)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, Overtime as needed.
- NJ: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- NY: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Amount of Travel Required: Interoffice travel between NJ/NY for video shoots on occasion.
The expected salary range for candidates meeting the requirements of this position is $85,000 to $95,000 (NJ) or $90,000 to $100,000 (NY). The range provided is the salary that Lowenstein Sandler in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
